Clinical Research Facility Management
Management Structure
Responsibilities for the Clinical Research Facility's recurrent infrastructure, consumables and equipment maintenance are shared by the University Health Board and the School of Medicine, Cardiff University.
The UHB is responsible for clinical care and the Clinical Research Facility is run in accordance with all the UHB policies and procedures.
Although the Clinical Research Facility is managed by the CRF Operational Director and CRF Nurse Manager, individual Principal Investigators may provide research nurses and/or clinical research fellows who will lead individual research projects. Overall managerial responsibility for the research nurses whilst on CRF premises lies with the CRF Nurse Manager.
Management Arrangements
A Senior Management Group consisting of the CRF Operational Director, the R&D Director, the Senior Manager (Medical Directors Office) and the R&D Manager provide oversight of the operational managment of the CRF
Strategic direction of the CRF is governed by the newly appointed CRF Management Board.
