Institute of Infection and Immunity launches newsletter 2012
It is with great pleasure that the newly created Cardiff Institute of Infection and Immunity launches its first annual newsletter
This newsletter introduces the newly created Institute and represents a comprehensive summary of ongoing research, both institutional and personal news and summaries of publications and grant capture from the preceding year.
The Cardiff Institute of Infection & Immunity is constituted by a team of >40 principal investigators from different fields of expertise. Its researchers include laboratory scientists, clinical academics and hospital doctors, who share knowledge through regular seminars and workshops.
The Institute was created in January 2012 by a merger of groupings that were previously located in the Departments of Infection, Immunity & Biochemistry; Dermatology; Rheumatology; Child Health; and Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine, among others.
